I have a Thai friend that is interested in opening a cafe. We were thinking about visiting a cafe or a few downtown. It might be good to talk with you about some options with espresso machines, he would be looking for a good single group head machine. We might try to head downtown Monday. Friday we fly out to Taiwan.
We will be back to Bangkok on November 9th and would love to come to a cupping if the dates work out right. We are flying to Taiwan November 20th, where we will stay - so we don't have too much time left in Thailand and Bangkok.
I will let you know what my mobile number is when I get into Bangkok. I can't wait to be back in Thailand and I am really looking forward to seeing your roasting facilities and cafe's.
Thanks for the message. I am coming to Bangkok August 22nd & will be staying in the Bangna by Rama 2 University. I think that is the correct location. I know Bangkok a little bit because I studied at Chulalongkorn University as an exchange student. I am coming with my brother & friend, we are all Barista's. I am the head barista at my cafe now, but am leaving to Asia.
Where is your cafe in Bangkok? I would love to visit and see your roasting set-up and your Cafe'. It would be really fun to pull some shots and do some latte art. I have some pictures on my profile of my latte art.
I will get a mobile phone when we arrive, so I will call you and we can communicate online until then.
Hey Zan, I have got the Rapallo all set up now. It has AWR through the solenoid connection, no pump though as this one is going to run at a cafe. Makes beautiful shots, sweet and buttery. Nice investment!
Hi Zan,
I hope you can help me on Astoria machine,
Model : Rapallo AEP2 ( the model you can view at this web page http://www.astoriaespresso.com/rapallo.) - I want to buy spare part - on/off switch for group head. Please help.
Thank you.
Take care eh... hopefully it will sort itself out up there. Stay safe! Regarding the lever I for sure will give a full report plus pictures for you Zan.
Hey Zan!! Have you seen the couple of photos I have posted of you in Treviso at the Astoria factory? Have a lot more from the trip will post over next week or so. Hope all is OK in Thailand, especially with the protests. We got snowed in at Venice believe it or not!!!!!!!!
Anyone have any thoughts or opinions on the cold brew systems? I was sampling some last week and it was really smooth.

Would a tea bag work just as well?
Innovative or simple, all are welcome to advise, question and best of all create the beverages we all love to taste! Attach pictures and talk about your inspirations behind signature beverage building.

I would actually point you towards Ost for a purveyor of Intelly. Third Rail does a good job, but Ost has a good amount of seating and some good meat/cheese options going on.

How are things going? We got back from Laos not long ago - found some decent coffee and some fairly good coffee.
We are headed up north soon, any recommendations of where to visit as coffee is concerned?
Hope your doing well,
Jonathan
