Hello everyone. I'm new here. I've been working as a barista for about 9 months now, but I don't think my training I got was sufficient and I would like to expand my education. does anyone know of any schools or training programs in the San Diego area?

Hello everybody, I am currently in Sri Lanka and will be around asia for a while yet before I shoot off to Europe. In the meantime, I am wondering if there is anyone knows of any work going for a barista/roaster around. I have a lot of experience in the field and can do both train and work as a barista, roaster, sales rep or any field in the coffee industry. If anybody hears of any work I would really appreciate you contact me.

Thanks in advance
Alvaro

Am looking for interesting books to read about coffee or espresso. So what do you have to offer?

Since you have been reading books on coffee, name the two or three most influential books that have educated or inspired you.

Example: Mine are, All About Coffee by William Ukers-1976 edition, and the Scientific Marketing of Coffee by James Quinn, Editor of The Tea and Coffee Trade Journal-1960, and Under Mannies Hat by Ruth Bransten McDougall, the daughter of the founder of MJB Coffee-1964.

In order to learn about coffee today, first one must study the past.

Coffee is a pleasure to meet educators from various countries.
A good portion of the future, please.
We hope a good day.

Why is the coffee world worldwide so quiet? What are they doing?

Are there many training places which can guarantee the result of barista training? How can you be sure of the quality of espresso drinks by your trainees?

In reply to good coffee shops in Los Angeles, I work for groundwork coffee co. (yes all lowercase and no S!). We are L.A.'s largest organic roaster and have been around over 18 years. We have locations in Hollywood, Downtown L.A. and Venice/Santa Monica. Find us at www.lacoffee.com.

Hello Ben. I graduated from CIA a few years back. Worked with a couple of people from there. We worked well together. Enjoy your time there.

Except for an emergency (and not even then for me), why would anybody leave a wand submersed in milk anyway? I'm a big believer in steaming only as much milk as needed per drink(s) ordered and always wipe/purge the wand after EVERY single use. I don…
