So excited this is already being discussed. I have been chatting with my good friend Tim about this since he participated in his first jam in Hot-lanta this past fall. January if you're already up to something I'm not trying to steal your thunder, but if not, I invite you to join me and help plan a jam at the LRBC late this month. We close at 2pm so it will be a true "after hours" event. I'm thinking a Friday or Saturday night would be best...2 hour event...beer...coffee...late art throwdown...
By the way, congrats on what I read was a great showing in Tacoma. Also, read about your success at the throwdown...i'm scared of you now.
I'd rather just help somebody else host one. I'd be down with working up a flyer and hitting the street, inviting other cafes. Sunshine never delivered on my training milk, so we got them to agree to donate milk to a jam.
How do you feel about gathering samples from all the new roasters in town and brewing up french press pots for folks to try. Would you be down with that? I can do the foot work. The cafe that was in business at our location before we took over left 9 air pots and a over a dozen french press pots that we never use. So logistically, it works.
Cherry Roasters, St Johns Coffee Roasters, Cellar Door Coffee Roasters, Blue Kangaroo Coffee Roasters. . . I may even get my old boss to throw down some 10 Speed Coffee beans.
Throwdown at the LRBC would be awesome! i could probably get my roaster to donate a few pounds too! The only thing for me is that my shop closes at midnight so i don't get out of there till 12 30 or 1, so way late night would work, or i could just show up late
We have some quite large international clients- Hotel groups and a cafe chain. They chose us because I believe our product is ecellent, our service better than what they would get from an off-shore coffee conglomerate. The struggle is of course th...
I'm finding that some larger businesses, some corporations are developing partnerships with smaller roasters like me. Are there any others out there with similar experiences. Any words to the wanabe wise?
Funny, I think that is what they said at Atlas Coffee in Seattle when I tried it with them a few years ago. It was a bleeding edge gaget back then. Now if you what to know if you should invest in one there are plenty of coffee folk to question first.
yeah i called imperial service in statesville (the only close LM service reps) and they said to just put a new o-ring on it, which i did. teflon taped too. also bill - holy run-on sentence batman. use some commas bro.
you have a gb5 yet your cutting corners??? it is a saftey device and when need be you'll want it to work right either that or you'll see the milk disappear from the pitcher your steaming haha, not always but it does happen.
