So excited this is already being discussed. I have been chatting with my good friend Tim about this since he participated in his first jam in Hot-lanta this past fall. January if you're already up to something I'm not trying to steal your thunder, but if not, I invite you to join me and help plan a jam at the LRBC late this month. We close at 2pm so it will be a true "after hours" event. I'm thinking a Friday or Saturday night would be best...2 hour event...beer...coffee...late art throwdown...
By the way, congrats on what I read was a great showing in Tacoma. Also, read about your success at the throwdown...i'm scared of you now.
I'd rather just help somebody else host one. I'd be down with working up a flyer and hitting the street, inviting other cafes. Sunshine never delivered on my training milk, so we got them to agree to donate milk to a jam.
How do you feel about gathering samples from all the new roasters in town and brewing up french press pots for folks to try. Would you be down with that? I can do the foot work. The cafe that was in business at our location before we took over left 9 air pots and a over a dozen french press pots that we never use. So logistically, it works.
Cherry Roasters, St Johns Coffee Roasters, Cellar Door Coffee Roasters, Blue Kangaroo Coffee Roasters. . . I may even get my old boss to throw down some 10 Speed Coffee beans.
Throwdown at the LRBC would be awesome! i could probably get my roaster to donate a few pounds too! The only thing for me is that my shop closes at midnight so i don't get out of there till 12 30 or 1, so way late night would work, or i could just show up late

Alun, are these the hills you will be tramping over next month? The hills you are inviting us to join you on? I'm getting short of breath thinking of the 38C temp and 98% humidity. [If I was 30 years younger...]

I am an artist by trade and when we use a sprayer, we first filter the paint through a very large bag made of fine mesh. ( size of a 1 gallon paint can) they run about 99 cents at Home Depot.
I also keep getting different ground sizes...mean…
This is a group for all of us who attend or exhibit at coffee fest. Many of us have met at the shows, look forward to each year and appreciate all the work that goes into what Coffee Fest offers.
yeah you could get a giant teabag (they make them, not sure where from) and soak a few pounds of coarsely ground coffee in a gatorade-style bucket overnight. that's what i do. if you can't find teabags just use cheesecloth, it just puts a little mor…
